{Destination} RIO / "Ciudad Maravillosa" - ESP

 Janeiro - Cristo Redentor (Corcovado)

{Info}Travel Safe: Outfit to Travel

Reading about the recent accident on Merpati Airlines (All 27 passengers who were traveling onboard the Indonesian passenger aircraft  MA-60, -a 50-60 seat class regional turboprop jet that crashed into the sea on Saturday- were killed), make me feel vulnerable again about airplane safety, even knowing that statistics have shown that air travel is by far, the safest mode of transportation.

There are things and situations that we cannot control (unfortunately), but, what about the little things (with great impact in terms of prevention) that we can manage to be prepared and travel Safe, like they way we dress while traveling? That brought me to my question for the next (and fast) topic: when traveling by airplane, how prepared we are in terms of our way we dress? While waiting at the airports, i had been surprised (sometimes shocked) by all kind of outfits that are fare away for being safe (high heels, flip flops, tons of accessories, lots of carry-on luggage, etc).

Yes, there is a Dress Code, not for travel, but for do it in a preventing way. It is imperative that when we travel, even if it is for vacations, we dress secure in case of fire and how we can avoid as best possible, to get burned: we always have to travel with a trench coat, jacket or some sort of coverage in case of fire (scarf is a great tool). A trouser or jeans instead of a skirt is a perfect choice. Forget about wearing sandals or uncomfortable shoes, we have to cover our feet for any emergency (what about if we need to run?), a great pair of boots and/or running shoes, depending of your taste. In regards of accessories, less is more, I've seen (and read) horrible stories about people getting burned for the metal of their tones of accessories.

More travel outfit choices

Do you think (or tell us) a story how you dress for travel, or how shocked you were when you saw some ridiculous outfits at the airport?

See you around!

About this Blog! - ENG

Okay, so here I am trying to think different (again) .Since long time ago, i have been checking different blogs and I figured if all these people are doing it, and all these people (including myself) are reading it, so why can't I? , after, I thought... about what?  My passion about communicating and staying in touch with people is been always part of me, therefore, I decided to create my blog...., now the next question... To Talk about what?: about my passion & career: TRAVEL.
I've been working on the Travel Industry for more  than a decade (near two!) : Having worked in El Salvador for the Second Largest Airline in Latin-America (Grupo Taca/now in alliance with AVIANCA from Colombia) and now in Canada for the biggest Business Travel Company: American Express Canada, allowed me to better know all types of travelers: The tourist, the low budget, the business traveler, the mileage hungry (to travel for free), the Travel Agent and the airline employee (yes, we do always like to travel for free o discounted), the backpacker, the responsible tourist.... . During all this time I've had the opportunity to listen, share and live all kind of stories about places, experiences (at the end, knowledge)....

Who does want to be an eternal traveler?? I believe, like me: YOU !

Therefore, in this new blog named -The Eternal Traveler wannabe-, you'll read about the attempts at being the eternal traveler and being a travel counselor, visiting cities, of even if you just want to share your personal experience with everybody who's interested in this blog, recommending hotels, cities, restaurants, etc. There's nothing written in black, everything that may help to keep on been the eternal traveler wannabe -inner-voice- alive, will help.

This Blog, is not about my trips, it`s all about the desire for always being an eternal traveler, for that passion for the Travel Industry.  If you had (or not) traveled enough, and if you have always dreamed for being an eternal traveler, this site is for you!

This is also a place to share the stories or recommendations you want to.

I will try to mix languages as possible, some articles in english/spanish/some in french; any feedback will be helpful.!!! (let's be nice & cool). Comments are very important for bloggers, if you don`t feel comfortable commenting on the blog, you can comment `Anonymously`. Keep us motivated!

So, I hope you will like it and why not, share with your friends. So hope it lasts and helps!
